Just Me

I was lost in a dream, I staggered and blinked in love’s silver haze
I could see only you from day into night, and night back to day
And then the fog, it lifted up, and everything grew clear
And then I knew what must be done, and then the time drew near

Now I’m moving up where I belong
And I’m through pretending I’m not strong
Stepping out into the morning light
The future never looked so bright

I was out of my head, cold and removed I'd gaze at the scene
As I looked down at us I saw two of you with darkness between
But now the chains that bound me tight have fallen off at last
And I can walk, and I can run, and move beyond the past
